For 2024, I've decided to stop assigning star ratings to books and not participate in the 2024 Reading Challenge. For me, personally, I've found a metric-based approach to reading has robbed some of the joy of the experience as of late—even dictating what books I've chosen to read and when. I'll still write reviews for every book I read, but I want to read for me—not to meet a quota or average star rating.

Part 2 (of 3) complete! I had to take a 2-week break from reading this because my copy wouldn't fit in my carry-on luggage for my trip to London/Paris. Luckily, this book's structure makes it easy to set down/pick up at your leisure.

Part 1 (of 3) complete! Absolutely loving this. Imagine if Jane Austen or Charles Dickens had written a cozy epic fantasy novel set during the Napoleonic Wars — that's the vibe.

Re-reading the series to prepare myself for Light Bringer coming out later this month.
