For 2024, I've decided to stop assigning star ratings to books and not participate in the 2024 Reading Challenge. For me, personally, I've found a metric-based approach to reading has robbed some of the joy of the experience as of late—even dictating what books I've chosen to read and when. I'll still write reviews for every book I read, but I want to read for me—not to meet a quota or average star rating.
