So far so good. I like the description of the hydra and the fact that it's an endangered creature in this book.

This book is definitely different from the others. Laura is older and taking on more responsibilities in her family, but part of her wants to enjoy being a kid and not have to think about growing up. It's a shame kids had to grow up so fast back then. Here she doesn't want to be a teacher when she gets older, but her ma and pa want her to, and she doesn't know how else she will make money, so shell have to teach.

Different from the rest. Laura is older now and has to help out more at home because Mary went blind.

This book is frustrating.can't tell if this has an unreliable narrator or not.

The cover alone is creepy. Can't wait to do permanent psychological damage to myself by reading it.

It starts slow, but gets much better as it goes.
