Im stuck. Im not sure if i like it. I think im too old for this. Feels very teenage angst like, wrapped in brutal school bullying, casts, and war crap. Sprinked with some promise of romance, redemption and a hero who beats them and it all at the end, what a beautiful journey, you can do it too, boohoo. We'll see.

So far im bit disappointed. Yt chanel of dr Matt is very interesting. And this book so far is "eat well, build a routine, sleep well, use right suplements, deep work, manage and minimise distraction". Very "beginner" info. So far nothing new and nothing ground breaking.

I dont think its my cup of tea. Thos one suppose to be better than previous one. Didn't really like where the first one go. So much potential, wasted. I feel same with this one. Boring space YA rebel saga. Amd it could be so much more!
If i hear one more time about bellowed IO or pitt vipers, i will scream!

Im on pg 247. Its allright, but not John Marrs I was expecting. And either my app is acting up or- I believe nearly 7,5k ratings, 4up stars, and NO REVIEVS? Very strange... I still have 90pg to go, but so far its a 3* solid thriller, nothing revolutionary.

This book promised me a world, and delivered a mini globe. Nearly finished here, and all I found out is- eat well, mostly plant based, cook it in low temperatures. Drugs have side effects. Exercise- it's important. Life style matters, and can beat genetics. All that (and bit more) delivered in scientific wrap.

I'm stuck. I have to say, it is interesting story, but told in such detail, that it just puts me to sleep every time I try to finish it! This book shouldn't be more than 250pg long. Reading it it's like watching Brazilian telenovela- watch first, middle and last episode, and you will get the gist of it.

Duzo ciekawych informacji, choc potraktowanych pobierznie

I'd say this book was empowering for young women when it was published and was a hit. 20+ yrs later (with all the knowledge we now have) I think it come across as bit naive? Silly? Dummy cranky detective and brave, smart, yet human and flawed (relatable- divorced, teen daughter, had alcohol problem) patologist. Police is not doing their job, so she is. And of course she gets herself in trouble.

Drazni mnie uzywanie angielskojezycznych imion przez polskich autorow... Jest tyle mozliwosci, tyle innych nacji. A tu Zack i Alan. Jakby wlasnie ich odciągnął od Playstation w Kansas czy Alabamie.

Sooo... I really wanted to like it, but I dont! Portrait of main characters slow mental break and decline is good, but story isn't. First twist (hope there is more or else...) saw coming nearly from the start(too freaking obvious). Hope for a satisfying end at least. But I'm afraid it's gonna be another "Girl On The Train" blah for me... well, another few pages to go, fingers crossed.

I have both- audio and ebook. Read instead listening. Great book destroyed by a narrator who reads it like a shopping list. Couldn't stand listening, put me to sleep 3x in one hour. And its a very exciting and interesting book!

It is very technical and full of details, but it's a great text book for anyone who is serious about their fitness and training. Like, serious serious. For normal ppl- there is few very useful information. But it's not a book for an average person. You really must like sport science for this one, to appreciate it. Amazing compendium of knowledge.

Oh yeah, and forgot about "creative desperation". Yeah. That's how u gonna see what others dont. We all know that, we come up with crazy ideas when desperate. Doesn't mean they all gonna be good... but you know, book about system thinking would help create good ideas. Just saying

Ah, this, "illumination rather than careful analysis" aproach drives me bit crazy. What about experience and thinking patterns? Curiosity? Scepticism? I know that's how u get ur AHA moment, but I would rather read book on those, than about AHA and illumination moments. I think I might have misjudged the book by its title (and I've read 2 genius books before this one... no wonder I'm #disappointed)

My advice to see what other's dont? Be sceptical and learn critical thinking, ask a million questions. There.
120 pages in, and no notes on this book. Just a bunch of anecdotes with people going "AHA!" at some point, and author's "dont worry, it will happen to you too when you won't expect it". I don't think I really like this book...

Fluff fluff fluff... After "The Creative Mindset" by Jeff Degraff this book seems like a lot of fluff. And Creative Mindset is shorter. And more thought provoking. And will set you on a path of "seeing what others dont". This one so far is just a lot of stories. No real substance. For me anyway- opinions are subjective thing.

Ok, so... It's a really good book with a loooot (as in- A LOT) of good stories. All to prove the point and importance of critical and logical thinking. And as much as I enjoy it, I honestly think it's bit long for what it's trying to prove. I'm getting bit tired (I think?) of it. It should be titled "Stupidity, Biases, Cherry Picking, Human Nature. Samples."

I like this argument! So many times I see statistics stating amount of ppl instead of percentage (let say, diabetics by countries). Taking in count number of ppl vs percentage per country we will get different results in "Which Country Has Most Diabetics". That bothered me a lot in "The Disease Delusion" by Jeffrey Bland.

Ppl believe in thousands of gods and spiritual beings without any proof of their existence. No amount of logic will convince them otherwise. Popularity of conspiracy theories, religion and cults should tell you all. Most of worlds population dont want to be sceptic, search all the facts and think independently. They want to "belong". Btw, books now is getting repetitive... But has some interesting stories tho.

...and I would love to see in this book statistics on how much more ppl are addicted to cannabis in countries where cannabis are legal, compared to where marijuana is illegal. How legalisation influenced tourism and taxes? Critically thinking- ppl will be always using, legal or not. So why not make it legal and make money out of it?
