sorry but this is so boring. first book was cool and fun, this one is a chore to read.

Nah this book is not great lol.

these books are not good. i don't understand why they exist???? i don't understand why there are four of them. plus, i'm noticing a big trend where robin hobb builds up these big moments, these giant plot points... and then denies us the actual moment, and writes about it in retrospect. from the actual moment of discovery of kelsingra in the previous book to malta hearing that tintaglia is "dead"... it sucks.

oh good lord this book is so LAZY!!!!! There was just this whole passage about Thymara feeling hurt and saddened by the fact that her father agreed with the rules of not permitting her (anyone so heavily touched by the rain wilds) to have a lover or have sex.... WHEN SHE ALREADY KNOWS WHY THE RULES EXIST. SHE ALREADY SAW what happened with Jerd and Greft's child. THIS IS SO LAZY

THEY GONNA BE PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

help, this book is putting me to sleep :'( so i'm putting it on hold.
