I cannot maintain interest….dull and meandering story line. Depressing. DNF

Not your usual Christian book. This guy obviously has had a miraculous conversion and shares portions of that journey. He loosely uses AA 12 steps and days of creation as a structure for the book but it is hard to follow. A flight of ideas although you can tell he is highly educated and intelligent. He seems to be truly overflowing. So thankful for his conversion and testimony

I came across this one while waiting for a book by the same title. Sad story, probably not uncommon, of coming of age in coal mining Appalachia, steeped in Pentecostal culture, and familial dysfunction. Sigh.

written in 1990 by a guy in Naval Intelligence who alleges to have read some top secret documents. Initially, remarkable for prediction of government deterioration, I.e. overreach, CIA experimentation, CFR/Trilateral, govt. scare tactics-pandemics, UFO’s etc. BUT at about 75% through it’s a major-league rabbit hole, almost like rantings of a paranoid schizophrenic. gives conspiracy theorists like me a bad name.

Interesting. the author concedes the information in the book does have to pass military security review.

If you liked Endurance (Shackleton) you will like this!

Cancelled my hold then didn't finish it on a road trip with my sister!

Could not finish this one. Too much stream-of-consciousness/flight-of-ideas for me at this stage of life.

This one didn't seem to age very well....written in June 2020. I usually finish MOST books I start, but not this one. Life's too short. I don't agree with the presumptions made and most of all gives too much credit to the deceitfulness of the human heart.
