for so long i’ve wanted to read rumi, i even went as far as to buy a book before i visited afghanistan. i carried that book with me to balkh, and i would eventually see the school where he taught/lived. when i tell you, i stood there like, “this cannot be the poet everyone is raving about”
reading a book that is translated by someone who ACTUALLY knows farsi. wow. THIS is the rumi everyone is raving about.
