Oh yes. This is good. Excellent, even. This book ticks several boxes: classic, on my tbr forever, and based on true crime. If you have seen the movie A Place in the Sun, you're familiar with this tale. If not, then what are you waiting for? Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Cliff at peak beauty and power.

My God. This girl endured Hell on earth before she ever met Maxwell and Epstein. What a horrifying life.

She should have put the year in the chapter. That’s so simple. A courtesy, really. Cuz i dont know what decade the story is in now and I’m starting not to care. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The addition of recipes as the story grows more intense is strategic.

Great! A duel! I know what that is: pistols at dawn; someone wins and someone dies. But oh no.

Past the halfway mark where so far no one is really an anarchist; they're just a surprise kindred spirit to go to the pub with. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure I'm not understanding what's meant, but I've decided not to care and just enjoy myself. Otherwise this book would be kicked straight to the curb.

I really need to focus on my reading comprehension. If there's any deeper meaning in these chapters, I'm not the one to see it.

The mystery of Bone 12. I still get confused on the dates of what's happening, but most of it is the now of the story, although Bone 12 is a cold case from awhile back. Don't ask. It's confusing. Plus the book is library property so I can't annotate and bookmark with notes. But it's still a fun read.
