I don't know if it's just me being in a slump or if this book is actually a snoozefest

I'm afraid this is simply not compelling to me in any way. An interesting and cool idea but the execution is really full and not engaging me at all, I'm afraid.

I can't do this anymore. The whole thing is like listening to someone doing a really bad southern impression with at least sixteen random references and folksy sayings per page.

Why am I doing this to myself

This is just not hitting for me. We're skipping in time and I don't care about these characters or their history enough to be invested in their timeskip journeys.

I'm having a decent time but that's two women fridged now so also not impressed TBH

I'm afraid I do not care about Mika and her completely fabricated life to impress her daughter that she gave up for adoption

I've only had Gurty the silly giant puppy that guides souls to the afterlife and has beef with another guide dog because she got HIS scritches for ten minutes but

I'm going to say that having a crush on your bestie for 20 years and then when she turns up to cry to you about her fiance cheating on her two weeks before their wedding is NOT the time to make a move on her if you're a friend. No thanks.
