Kenneth Pedersen is on page 150 of 370 of Neverwhere (London Below, #1)
So far so good, I will have to say that the world created in American Gods felt larger than the claustrophobic setting of “London Below” For being halfway thru the book Door seems like she is not really that fleshed out, We learn a lot about Richards life in little snippets but I feel that the rest of the characters should be more fleshed out a bit more by this point in the book.

Kenneth Pedersen is on page 250 of 604 of Dune (Dune #1)
It surprises me that both times this has been made into a visual format; it’s been so dense and symbolic. Honestly I’m just at a third done and while there is a bit of foreshadowing in with Paul’s newly born powers, the book reads in a very quick visual format. I really have enjoyed seeing this side of dune, and excited to see how the next parts play out.

Kenneth Pedersen is on page 400 of 578 of Doomsday Book (Oxford Time Travel, #1)
The doomsday book starts out pretty slow, but builds a an even pace, the story is broken up between Kivrin's time travel adventure and Professor James Dunworthy's Oxford 2054, I am a third of the way thru the book and have really been involved with the main characters who have a honest breath of life to them, i'm excited to make it to the end.

Kenneth Pedersen is on page 200 of 572 of Red Mars (Mars Trilogy, #1)
i think the science of Red Mars is the best in the world of fiction describing the technical requirements a manned mission to mars would need. That being said the character development seems a bit flat so far its hard to really relate to any of the political arguments the group has on the idea of Terra-forming Mars its pretty plan to see Kim Robinson's view point on the idea and she beats the audience over the head

I was a bit thrown with the first chapter being out of chronological order of the rest of the book, but so far its very enjoyable.

Kenneth Pedersen is on page 50 of 240 of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
So far Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is a joy to read. The writing style is relaxed and the descriptions while light paint a emotional story of a strong mother who is pushing herself beyond her comfort zones..

Kenneth Pedersen is on page 400 of 884 of The Mists of Avalon (Avalon, #1)
still in the middle of reading The Mists of Avalon and I gotta say Gwenhwyfar is almost replacing Lori Grimes as the singlehanded most annoying fictional character ever.

"Oh the skies are so big, i'm not pregnant, lancelot is so dreamy, morgaine is so scary..."

would it break canon too much a zombie came up and nipped a that pea sized brain?

Well Here i am at the end of the first part of TMOA. Bradley did a very good job of creating a breathing living world so far, even though the characters can be a bit self indulgent. if you can make it past the feminism thrown your way about ever other sentence there is honestly at a lot of awesome here.

with in the first few chapters you can see how Philip is a master at setting the scene, the book oozes mood and back story. Decker seems more of a jerk so far..

I, robot, has a mixed feeling to it, some of these story’s read like a lazy Sunday afternoon, while other feel like your stumbling on the ideas that Asimov is placing forward. All in all each is a lesson on the three laws of robotics and how under circumstances they can be interrupted. On the whole the book doesn’t feel dated or outta place, just moments and parts seem like we have pasted them up in real life.

the book does such a good job of having you share her small victories, a bit of writing on the floor, a cool breeze, you honestly want the protagonist to feel relief.
