I wasn't really sure if I'd like this, but the opening chapters set the hook.

Is this popular with the Austen/Brontë crowd? I'm really surprised if it's not. There's so much romantic melodrama.

The only reason this is taking me so long to read is because I've been too busy lately, but I *am* enjoying this.

Well, this is kind of fun.

It got better. Lewis's mind is still a pretty difficult thing to untangle, but at least we've moved beyond that weird time at Wyvern.

Did I really want to learn all about the weird social structures in Lewis's public school experiences. Ew. No. And also, it's an experience so far removed from my own, I haven't a clue what he's talking about. It's like reading about life on an alien planet. A deeply creepy alien planet.

This is a long book, and arguably Rawlings spends way too much time describing the landscape and wildlife of Florida over and over. But somehow it's still very compelling and hard to put down.

Ha ha of course there's a lesbian in it. Of course there is. So predictable. So exhausting.

The title of this book is a dare that I'm not sure I can accept.

It's quite a stylistic leap to go from Dickens to this. One hundred seventy-eight years or so. My head is spinning.

Now there's another pronoun discussion that shifts trans apologia. Cringe. Does RTD require BF to push his gender ideology in order for them to retain their license?
