This book is trying my patience. It's probably my dogged stubbornness that prevents me from leaving it unfinished.

Made it to the second half. They tell me this is where something happens.

Oof. I hope this gets better soon. So far I don't see the appeal. Also, way too many characters to keep track of, and it's often hard to know who is speaking lines of dialogue since Austen frequently fails to clarify. Oh well. I'll keep at it.

Heh. It feels like nothing is really happening except a bunch of catty commentary about various characters whose names and relationships to each other I frequently find confusing. The only character I can relate to is Mr. Bennet and his exasperation. Rock on, Mr. Bennet!
