Refreshing to be reading a compelling, well-written thriller with a well-constructed narrative voice coming off Ruth Ware's work lol although I'll give her audiobook narrator, Imogen Church, credit for her excellent performances, Christopher Eccleston is very clinical in his delivery which fits for emotionally despondent characters but a bit less engaging (obviously not something I hold against the book itself)

The fourth-wall breaking melding and merging of types of narration is an ingenious refraction of the relationship between author, reader and protagonist that reflects upon the performative reality of both wrestling and online sex work in a fascinatingly engaging way while never taking away from the quirky and breezy nature of the storytelling

Girlie pop is 20 and knows what Dragonball and Hentai are but not OnlyFans or Fortnite (enjoying this that's just silly)

Also the audiobook is excellent and the way it adapts the screenplay portions is brilliantly done and it's very well-adapted given I quickly clocked that's likely how it's written and why the formatting of the audiobook presentation shifted

Unsurprisingly really like how Tingle is playing with form here in a way that both enhances the mystery as well as the metafictional elements and themes. Definitely a strong follow-up to Camp Damascus I personally find to be a solid improvement (although I liked Damascus)
