This is tough slogging through a heavy section of name-dropping. Perhaps the point of name-dropping with such relentlessness is to underscore, ultimately, its futility.

There is motion towards merging story A with story B. I won't skip to the end to find out, because if I do, I won't go back and bother with the gazillion "the fact thats", which develop the main human character quite nicely if relentlessly. I like the ride and will continue.

I've a crazee feeling that I know how all the pieces will intertwine by the end of this book. I hope I'm wrong. I'd hate to see the loose ends "wrap up"... but, onward we go.

Day 10 of voluntary quarantine. The days are good, but melt into one another. The one thing that punctuates them is a dose or so of this book, usually taken between 2 and 3 a.m.
