I can't anymore, I'm done reading this book. It just gets worse and worse. One confrontation (that he barely survives!!) and all his enemies admire him. Puppy love, bleh, there's better books out there that I don't have to force myself to read.

Maybe some more stringent editing would have helped? Often the author will use a huge run-on sentence when a little rephrasing would have said the same thing and been less annoying to read. (Page one of book one had thirty-one commas, it's gotten better, but still so many!)

Dierdre is ruining it for me. Since she split from Kyra; her scenes have felt boring & cliche.

However, this is a series that always felt "almost there, almost good" to me. I kept reading out of hope that it would finally click into place & be amazing, but so far it hasn't happened. I'm starting to think it will always be so. Unless the remaining portion improves & finally pulls me in, I won't be getting book 4.

I like it better that the first book so far.

Having a tough time getting into this book. I suspect it's because it wasn't translated to English and something happened there.

Once again, someone thinks their eyelashes hurt. I can comprehend that they hurt everywhere without always having to mention their eyelashes. Every time.

I don't know about this one. When I think about the story it's interesting and cool, but when I read it I have to force myself through it. The author doesn't leave much to the imagination. While the world she's created is pretty and facsinating, sometimes she tends to go overboard explaining things.

Noticing weird ages. Dillon is the youngest of 5 kids, he is 15 & a sophmore. All his siblings go to high school. The book says bad grades aren't an option in their home, so nobody failed. All 4 older siblings are juniors & seniors? Maybe if there's a set of twins, but it has not been said so far.
