The jury found Tom to be guilty. However, Atticus told Jem, "it is not time to worry yet". He also told him that he is sure there will be an appeal.

Atticus is in the middle of the trial. He is attempting to make a case that Mr. Ewell beat up Mayella, not Tom Robinson. Mayella keeps "crying" but I think she is just trying to stir up pity.

Right now Atticus is in the middle of Tom's hearing. Atticus warned the children not or come into town, but they came anyway. They are about to sneak into the courthouse.

Herriot is walking down a hill to help a farmer with his horse. It is not clear yet what is wrong.

Aunt Alexandra has come to live with Atticus and the kids. She seems to be rather grumpy. Also, she is constantly complaining that Atticus raised Scout and Jem wrong. Scout does not like Aunt Alexandra, and she does not hide it from the aunt.

Scout is describing Mrs. Dubose in greater detail. It is no secret that Scout and Jem strongly dislike Mrs. Dubose. Every time the children walk by her house, she finds something to make an insult about. They do, however, admire how Atticus can remain so calm with her.

They have already started to tell about the court case. Apparently the Ewells are involved. The kids at school are calling Atticus names. Scout can't stand it, but her father told her to keep her temper.

Jem, Dill, and Scout tried to give Boo Radley a letter. The put it on a fishing pole and attempted to put it in the window. However, Atticus saw them. Now they are in big trouble.

Herriot volunteered to do the herd evaluations for the government. He thought it would be a super easy job. However, he soon found out otherwise. It seems like a very frustrating job, especially when the cows kick him.

I reread the first three chapters. Atticus and Scout just made the compromise about her reading.

I finished Chapter One. Dill was pressuring Jem to go up and touch the house. Jem just did it.

I re-read part of chapter one. They mentioned the Radley place, and described it a little. I left off with Jem and Scout meeting Dill for the first time.

The two brothers went off to the war. During one of the attacks Charlie, the older one, and his company were in a dug out in no-man's-land. Tommo, the younger brother, was badly injured. The commanding officer told everyone that they were leaving the dug out, and were going to charge into the German's trench. Charlie would not leave Tommo. So, the officer got Charlie shot in a firing squad for not following orders.

The oldest of the boys, Big Joe, went missing. They looked for him everywhere. They had now clue where he was, a were worried something had happened to him. However, they finally found him, in the church tower. The whole town came out to see him, and everyone was happy.

The book is written from a young boy's point of view. He is retelling the story of him growing up, and his family. He talks about his two brothers, and his father who passed away.

The wealthy woman who owns Tricki Woo now has a pig. Herriot says the little animal is really cute. However, not only does she call Herriot Tricki's uncle, now she also calls him the pig's uncle, too. The other vets really like to tease him about it.

Herriot was really confused about one of the cows he was trying to treat. However, in the end he was able to figure it out. Tristen messed up another chore. This time Siegfried was not that mad though.

Currently, Herriot is at a farm in the middle of the night. One of the local farmers horse was sick. Herriot says that that was the 3rd time that night. However, it was not the same animal.

Herriot was describing what is is like in his part of the England in the spring. The way he described scenery makes the reader really want to be there!

Nothing much has happened. Harriet is mostly retelling stories about when he was in practice. However, they are very interesting.

There is this dog named Tricki Woo. His owner is kind of wealthy. She pampers Tricki really bad. She always calls Herriot his uncle. Every Christmas "Tricki" sends "uncle" Herriot a lot of gifts.

Tristan is very forgetful. Siegfried is not very patient with Tristan. However, Siegfried is trying to give him basic responsibilities. In the end, Tristan always ends up messing it up. Like when he forgot to close the pigpen, and lost the horse.

The narrator is still setting the scene. He has introduced Tristan, Farnons brother. Tristan had been off at veterinary school. Tristan is a real character. Though, he can be a bit of clown. The author, James Herriot, does a really go job of showing the characters personality.

This book is more of an autobiography. Therefore, the author is also the narrator. He is retelling the time when he got one of his first job's. An assistant for Siegfried Farnon, another, more experienced, veterinarian. Herriot speaks happily about his first experiences and cases with Farnon.

Freddy was fired. However, he was eventually able to prove that he did not steal anything. The book is slowly starting to wind up.

Freddy got the job. However a a few weeks later, the cooks husband came for a visit. The husband is scruff, mean, and very malicious. He kidnapped Freddy! And lied to Mr. Camphor. Now Freddy might lose his job, because of what the husband told Mr. Camphor.

Freddy is going to talk to Mrs. Camphor. He just walked into his mansion.

Freddy is going over to Mr. Camphor. He hopes to get the job that Mr. Camphor is offering. The job offer is to care for Mr. Camphors home and land for the entire summer.

I have finished the book. The number of pages is different, because the size of them. Freddy has apprehended the men. Now Mr. Boomschmidt does not have to worry about them bothering him.

St. Francis Xaveir has been declared a noble, because of his family. However, I don't think it will come of much use to him. The other people think it could be useful when they are traveling, though.
