I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t. It wasn’t a total loss but between the annoying lead character and the so-so plot it was hard to get through.

In “As Good As It Gets”, Jack Nicholson’s character is asked how he writes women characters so well, and he responds “I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability.” I think Andy Weir’s answer would be just “I think of a man”.

One of the best books I’ve read this year, although it is in graphic novel format.
