I said Seraph was my favorite in this series but I’m thinking this one is my favorite now. Each book gets better and better. I hope the author eventually finishes it.

I’ve been reading too many monster books because last night I had a crazy nightmare about monsters chasing me and trying to kill me. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop though.

Now why is the gay monster romance book making me cry.

I CALLED ITTTT I didn’t think it would get revealed this early in the book but yup I called that plot twist.

Not even a quarter through this book but if it keeps up the way it’s going it’s definitely gonna be my favorite in the series.

Halfway through this book and I still do not like Hunter. People claim he gets better but man at the halfway point if you aren’t tolerable how much hope is there 😭

I am almost done with this book and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. I want to like it so bad but the author writes so unapologetically BRITISH that it just keeps yanking me out of the story. Pip pip cheerio here in the ancient times kind of deal.

It’s crazy to me that 1/2 way through this series and Laurent still does not GAF about Damen’s name and hasn’t even asked like AGSJDJFOGKFDK dude is WILD

It’s been 6 years since I read this book and for some reason I woke up thinking about it. So it will be read again.

This book already got the damn waterworks going oh lord.

Lost my battle of wills and I’m reading this masterpiece again. God I love this book.

This book pulls ZERO punches. I can’t believe I’m only halfway through because so much has already happened. I’m scared for what’s coming next.

If you told me a year ago I’d enjoy military stories as much as I do now I’d be laughing in your face but MAN I don’t know. Something about it just hits the spot for me.

Okay well 7% in and I’m already crying so that’s a good sign.

I had been avoiding this Tal Bauer book because girl it is LONG and it looks EXTREMELY angsty but I’ve seen several people say is this Tal Bauer’s best work by a mile so I’m finally buckling down and giving it a go. So far my kindle says this will take me 21 hours to read so Godspeed to me.

This author does a great job at making me pissed at both main characters without actually explicitly spelling out a reason for me to be pissed at them. It’s frustrating but in a good way lmao.

I’m usually not a big fan of books that go back and forth between present and past but I am finding myself enjoying this far more than I usually do with other books using the same format. The author does it extremely well and instead of being frustrated like I usually am I’m actually having fun with reading it.

It’s taking all my willpower not to check who the main character ends up with in this love triangle. Usually I can tell with love triangles because the authors always have a clear favorite but GA, true to form, does a great job with all of his characters in fleshing out their interpersonal relationships so there’s really no clear answer on who it’s going to be.

I think this is the only YA series GA has written and I’m not sure if it’s because it’s some of his older work or because it’s YA but I can definitely say I prefer his later stuff. I want to say it’s because it’s YA that the writing is different because the beginning of the hazard & somerset series wasn’t written like this. It’s still enjoyable, just different than I’m used to from him.

Sam is just so cute. I knew he was cute from the other books in the GA universe but I didn’t know I needed a book focusing on him until now.

This is the North & Shaw book in this series and I think they’re probably my favorite couple from GA only because Shaw is one INSANE motherfucker and I’m hoping for more yandere insanity in this book. Also kind of hoping North finds out Shaw has murdered for him before but I’m not sure if that would fit anywhere in the plot of the current series. A girl can dream though.

I’m excited to start this series I’m a sucker for crossovers and I love all of GA’s dysfunctional characters. This first book starts with my least favorite couple from him though so I’m hoping it’ll give me a better impression of them.

Just when I think Greg Ashe characters can’t be any worse people North goes and pulls this shit like oh my GOD it’s PAINFUL to read.

North is being a REAL piece of shit in this book I just want to punch him in a mean way and give Shaw some hot chocolate. God reading about these men is exhausting.

Yeah ok Tean may be the first Greg Ash character I hate LOL. GOD I really hope he gets better in this book/the next series but good lord this man is allegedly 38 years old and acts like a spoiled naive BABY he’s SO FRUSTRATING. He needs a kick in the HEAD.

All of Gregory Ashe’s characters are exhausting top tier drama queens but my GOD does Tean take the cake. To the point where I almost dislike him because the melodrama is teetering on the line between extremely funny and just plain upsetting. He treats Jem like shit quite frankly but in a deviously manipulative way that isn’t that fun. Someone just needs to take Ammon out back and shoot him before I do it myself.

Out of all Gregory Ashe’s Dysfunctional Angry Couples I think Jem and Tean are actually the most realistic in their fighting. At least the pair of them have a legitimate reason to be angry with each other instead of just being insane people like all of the other couples this guy writes. It’s kind of refreshing.

Theo drives me CRAZY “boohoo I’m 10 years older than Auggie and my last husband got decapitated” four fucking books of his bellyaching oh my GOD just shut up and marry Auggie you melodramatic ass. All of Gregory Ashe’s characters are like this btw they’re all so DRAMATIC. Soap opera I swear to god.
