Damn this book got hands. Making me CRY

I love that Shay makes a cameo in this book I’m obsessed with that little freak.

This author is suuuper entertaining but I’m about to set up a “murmur” count because this woman cannot go two pages without having one of her characters murmur something. People do not murmur that much!!!

Just as predicted I’m crying my eyes out.

Jesus I’m only 12% through this book and it’s already making me tear up I can tell this is gonna leave me sobbing.

Belle is an absolutely repulsive girl like I don’t know what exactly the author was going for with her character but she’s HORRENDOUS.

Awww as someone who met their partner online and had to go through the whole “meeting them in person for the first time” thing the way the author is describing the scenario is making me giggle it’s so true to life.

I can’t believe I haven’t read this book yet it’s already so fucking funny.

This is SOOOO GOOD so far I’m so immersed in this world!

It’s been about 5 years since I’ve read this series, gotta re-read it. A classic in my opinion.

Love this villain so much I wish I knew more books where the villain is as good as Calix Lehrer.

Time to re-read my favorite to see if it’s as good as I remember it being.

it’s been 5 years since i last read this according to goodreads and i think it deserves another read. peak YA fiction.

Re-reading this book is so funny. I’m just constantly like “GET TO THE DRAGONS ALREADY!” for me the humans are secondary characters in this series to be honest.

I haven’t touched this series or any of Veronica Roth’s other works since I felt the ending to this series was so bad when I first read it. I want to give it a second try now and see if the ending is as bad as I remember it being.

I’m amazed I’ve never read this book before, but my preconceived notions on what I thought it would be about is completely different from what it is.

I know Ravyn and Elspeth is the canon ship in these novels but Elspeth and Shepherd King goes so hard. It’s the vibes that count. How romantic is being trapped in each other’s minds? The tension is crazy.

I’m enjoying this book so far but using the word “trees” as an expletive is really tickling me. Unserious.

It’s really, really hard to live up to a first book as good as House in the Cerulean Sea. I’m finding that this sequel is struggling with that exact problem. 70% though and there’s many things I would personally change or omit, but I’ll wait until I finish it to give my final verdict.
