I want to like this book so badly. I need a comforting read with Mary. I cannot bear to continue to read this book… I will finish, but it is a drag. The History chapters could have been so much better. Please skip over History (6)- too disturbing to read when I was hoping for a nice story with Mary. Yuck and no!

The last 1/4 of the book Elon becomes careless, unbearable and frustrating. She seems like an amateur detective that it’s frustrating to read. She’s reckless and impulsive. Also enough with “she senses” or “she feels an unease but can’t explain…”
