Honestly I’m kind of bored. The writing is so explanatory. I want to care more.

Everyone tells me this is where the series really comes together and shines. Enjoyed the first book quite a bit, second was meh. I feel this series might be overhyped a bit, but we shall see. I desire it to feel slightly less “cartoony”

A “serious” book. It’s important to read serious books. Fantasy & Fiction are superb, but much like a balanced diet one must get their protein in as well.
