This book is incredible. Driving my mystical and creative mind wild.

I’m having a wildly fun time reading this. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find Celine. Massive influence on some of my all time favorite writers and it shows.

This book reads so awkwardly. Perhaps there’s a better translation than the one I have.

Has anyone read this? I’m really disliking the experience. Ugh.

Wow. Just started this, but I’m hating it. Wtf is going on? In a bad way.

Charm is getting people to say “yes” before asking for anything at all.

Not sure if this was Camus’s intention but so far it’s giving the vibe that this whole conversation at the bar is a sort of end of life limbo or purgatory situation. Clever. A sort of deep unpacking and confession of one’s inner most life.

DNF. This is incredibly rare for me. And honestly I was going to tough it out even though I was not enjoying the read whatsoever. I found it cheesy and slow and predictable and uninteresting. Alas! Something happened with my Libby app and the book rental just crashed and deleted itself so for now I will not finish it and not rate it. May pick it up again later to see if by some, it redeemed itself.
