I'm going to be honest I have no clue what is going on in this story. The beginning feels like you have been dropped in the middle of the story and it just keeps going and never gives the reader time to catch up.
I'm lost but too intrigued to stop.

So far everyone in this book but Jem is unlikable. His parents suck , his siblings suck and his new husband sucks. The fact his mother who supposedly loves him shows no empathy towards his situation doesn't sell me their closeness. I hope something changes. Cause right now Jem is the only positive going for this one.

As I was reading this i kept saying to myself this seems so familiar. Well it's because i read it before as part on an anthology lol

Now why did they have to go and make Ansel sound like Reese Withersppon in Sweet Home Alabama. Weird choice.

This is the THIRD narrator of this series and I absolutely hate the change. The first two were fine. They sounded similar enough to pass. This narrator is not good. Doesn't change her voice enough between female and male characters and sounds like she has a sore throat. I'm so disappointed.

OMFG why did it take me so long to realize this is through Sam's POV🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I was sitting here thinking WOW this story seems exactly like the first and never put two and two together 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂

The book just could not keep me interested DNF for now.

This book that is barely over 200 pages sure does feel a lot longer. Can something happen soon?🥴😴

If you know light attracts the creepers why the f**k would you turn on the power? Make it make sense cause this part makes absolutely no sense like at all. Did they suddenly forget the survival instincts. Like come on!! The story was going so well but this one dumb moment can ruin it for me. It's so out of character.

Let's see how this one goes...

This narrator's voice is really soothing.

Now name dropping Xander from The Locker Room. Really makes me want to reread.

The mention of Jackson and his lawyer perked me up. Love them!

I like Kirt Graves but I wish Tim Paige would have done this one on his own. I like his voice choices much better.

What to read next?

Dual narrators need to get together and discuss voice choices. It's pretty weird when one chooses to do a Boston accent and the other doesn't.

I guess I better start liking Joel Leslie's narration as it seems almost every author loves to use him 😭😭 UGH!!! 😭😭

I am not sure what Alexander Cendese is doing with Matt's voice here. He sounds like a surfer dude trying to pull off a southern accent. It's quite awful lol

This serious is pretty good. It would be better if the author took away all the overly sexual characters.
