Once you've seen the Muppets Treasure Island movie, the book itself pales in comparison! 😄😅 But I'm going to see it through since it's a classic and I bought it. It's not bad at all, just not as fun as a boat full of Muppets.

Not all of the content is helpful to me, but it's worth reading for the parts that are new and helpful. I found the chapter on New Moon wishing delightful.

So far it's a charming, peaceful story. Reminds me of Winnie the Pooh in the pacing and story, which is set in nature with common animals.

This story puts me in the mood to walk outside in the chill air and eat some "vittles."

Okay, things are getting good.

I have so many questions. Like who's house is on fire on the cover? And who's standing in the doorway? And was Pendergast already married to Helen at this time?

This is a favorite story for me to re-read in the springtime. It's got a great message about the healing power of exercise and fresh air.

I'm rereading this one. It's one of my comfort reads. Meg is such a relateable character.

This conslusion is satisfying. Not only do we wrap up the mystery, but we get some resolution for the original problem: Wennerstrom.

I get a kick out of the way both Lisbeth and Mikael think the other is strange.

I know how it ends, and yet I'm excited by the new evidence and my anticipation for the moment when I know Lisbeth and Mikael will meet.

I've seen the movie but not until now, reading the book, do I realize this story is essentially about the investigation of a cold case.

I am watching the film adaptation tonight, and I will say this is one of those rare cases where the movie is better than the book.

This audiobook is not very good, but I'm enjoying the story a lot. The people doing the voices are a bit cringe-y. I have a feeling I'd like it better if I were reading it in print.

I didn't realize this would be a dual timeline story, but to my pleasant surprise, I'm enjoying it. There's a sense of tension in knowing that Scarlet and Jameson had at least one child but not knowing what happened to them as a couple.

I'm listening to this on audiobook. It's off to a good start! Rebecca Yarros says this is her favorite book she's published, so that sparked my interest.

If I wasn't invested before, I am now.

Now that I'm about halfway, I'm really enjoying this story. In some ways it's like When Harry Met Sally. In other ways, it's a much more updated story that fits with the setting of 2022 New York City.
