Just got the hardback in the mail! I'm so excited to read this.

This is the 3rd book in the rom com series set in small town New York state. I've read the first two, but I think you can enjoy this one 100% if you don't read it in order. I'm such a sucker for a wounded hero--in this case, a Marine who was literally wounded in combat and has an artificial leg. Emotionally, he doesn't want his family to worry, so he keeps to himself...which, of course, makes them all worry!

I’ve read 5 novellas so far, and I have to say they were excellent. Really. I wrote one of the stories in this anthology (HER DUDE RANCH DUKE), but I’m talking about everyone else’s stories! Truly, a cut above. I’m a happy reader!

I've read my own novella in this anthology, THE DUDE RANCH DUKE, obviously, but now I've read the next 2 as well, and they are really, truly well-written, complete romances that made me smile at the happily-ever-after. That's 3 out of 25 stories! I'm happy to have this book to turn to for a pick-me-up.

I just finished Teri Wilson's novella in this anthology. It was sooooo cute! Two rival reporters run into each other at each of four royal weddings. Really great rom com--but then again, Teri is like a queen of rom com. (Queen? Royal? Get it?) :) Can't wait to read the next one.

This showed up on my Kindle! It's 1 day old. I admit I read my story first.(His Custom-made Bridesmaid, a second-chance romance in which a dress designer must fill in for a missing bridesmaid only to find the groomsman she's paired with is an old flame. Total coincidence! Or is it...?) I had to read it to look for typos, right? LOL. They're inevitable, but I didn't see any. Whew! Now I'm starting on Teri Wilson's. <3

Just 4 days until everyone can read these rom-com short stories! I hope you particularly enjoy "His Custom-made Bridesmaid." A meddling bride plays matchmaker during the week of a grand Texas wedding, but the 2 people being thrown together already know one another, already dated, and already had a bitter breakup. But to please the bride, they play along, spending time together reluctantly...or not so reluctantly?

Big news over the weekend!

On Saturday, this novella won the Golden Leaf Award from the New Jersey Romance Writers.

The judging panel was made up of librarians, booksellers, and reader's groups--some of my favorite people! :) If you haven't read the novella yet, I hope you will, and I hope you'll reach "The End" with a smile and happy sigh.

Her brother was married to his sister. They've tragically been killed in an accident, leaving behind one baby and no custody instructions...

Hero and Heroine are not related to each other, but both related to the baby. She's from LA, he's currently got the baby at his Montana lodge. Oh, the set-up for a romance that will lead to an insta-family is perfect! And the hero's name is CARSON, of which I must approve. LOL

I can't get enough of these characters from the Original Sinners series. Thankfully, Reisz puts out a holiday novella every year. I'd pre-ordered it, natch, but then forgot. Last night, real life had me stressed and sleepless, so I opened my Kindle app on my iPhone (I know, I know, phones are bad for sleep...trust me, I wasn't sleeping, anyway) and there it was! It was just after midnight. Perfect timing!

4 days until the Book Buyers Best awards, hosted by Orange County RWA in California. This book is one of the finalists for contemporary romance. Very exciting! I'll give you a fun fact: cover models could not be photographed because Covid had just begun, so the art dept. recycled this photo from another book, changing the color of the heroine's outfit. It fits the story perfectly--they meet at the town's yule log.

This is very exciting! Early reviews are coming in. As an author, it's fascinating (and gratifying) to find out what, in particular, readers liked. It's so cool that people can "see" and love the main characters. The town and bakery and rescued birds are getting mentions. The 1980s setting, too! They say authors shouldn't read the reviews, but the curiosity is too much. I ask a family member if it's safe to read. ;)

Guess what? This book won!

I'm very touched it won the Stiletto Award for mid-length contemporary romance this weekend. This book has some very bittersweet moments in it, so it's not the cheerful rom-com kind of Christmas romance that is so popular. I like those, too, but I'm happy the judges enjoyed a Christmas romance with a little more pathos. It ends happily-ever-after, though! I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tonight is the night! This slow burn romance, with its cinnamon roll hero and former-Olympian heroine (!) is up for a 2021 Stiletto Award in contemporary romance.
