I felt this book tested My patir=emce. Very uninspired writing, BORING.

I purchased this book to learn about Alfie not world, particularlY Chinese cultures. Obviously Mr Safina could onlY spread his inana thinking by using a littie owl to trick readers into his bullSHIT>

Still no bird. JUst the story Of her DULL life. Boring writing.

Not A great start! FIrst 6% pages are about a neighborhood squabble with nothing happening and no sign of our detectives.

Again, not what I signed on for. all the stories have to do with being seduced or raped by Jove and Juno blames the victims. All the stories sound the same as they are written by the author. I will ditch it as soon as the NOVELS I ordered arrive.

I finally discovered good recent science fiction. Love this book!

Very boring

I was going to DNF this as all the author talked about was how great he was and was critical of the military for not flying him where he wanted to go when he wanted. He never learned they are not there for his convenience. Typical science oriented who thinks he's important. he then began to introduce his Afghan team, so, in hope the remainder is better, I'll continue.

I just hope this is not like 'Walking to Aldebaran'

Whoever recommended this author, THANKS! Emily Henry is a brilliant writer. It's hard to put down.
