First impression... It very much reads like a fanfiction, let me explain. There is no character-building so far, we are given these characters with close to no introduction, which is something that usually happens in fanfictions because we already know the characters, we already care about them, while with a book, I need that introduction to get to know the characters

I've been wanting to reread this series again ever since the new books started to come out but I never got around it, I'm glad I'm finally doing it! I feel like I'm also reading it with a different mind and therefore noticing some stuff I didn't in the past, but I think that's pretty normal considering how I first read it 14-15? years ago when i was still a teenager :)
