I am so sorry this is the most boring book I’ve ever picked up

I’m not that far in and I already see where the allegations are coming from

This is objectively a well done book but so hard to read quickly, just so gloomy and sad

It’s already giving big “Yellowface” vibes and also stressing me out

Every time I read Ann Patchett, I am so enchanted by her writing voice and the way she makes me feel. I wish I could live in her world.

Of course I watch the movie and have to immediately reread the book

Oof tough read…

“How can you tell a man that hates himself that his son is made in his image?” Wow dagger to the heart on that one

I’ve never been so frustrated

ladies we have to financially protect ourselves!!!!

so captivated by the format and pacing and getting to know sybil

my third time reading this and I’m excited to see how my thoughts have changed

feeling emo and rereading this

I keep having to look up words, I feel dumb reading this lol

honestly disgusted by this author being anti birth medicine and advocating for childbirth as an organic process when historically women died frequently from child birth

this book is so fun and scratches an itch in my brain

wtf am I reading and how am I only this far

Richie for sure has ADHD, right? that’s all I can think about

I’m never going to meet my Goodreads challenge with these thousand page books

incredible. obsessed.
