Bunker Buddies by Charish Reid - 4.5 out of 5 stars
This has been my favorite story thus far. The way the characters are introduced made their attraction more believable and built instant anticipation because as the reader you know the catalyst for their interlude. I also liked that both characters are a bit older (she’s 35 and he’s 39). I’m excited to read more from this author now!

My Lucky Stars by Lane Clarke - 3 out of 5 stars - I needed more background on Jones; the way she is introduced left me having more questions than answers. Because of that the romance, and the spice, felt a bit one sided and uneven which was a bit unsatisfying.

Keep Calm and Curry On by Farah Heron - 4 out of 5 stars - This one handled the tension between the FMC and MMC better and is a great example of how to offer a complete story in a limited number of pages.

All the Stars by Taj McCoy - 3.5 out of 5 stars - Loved how this first story set up the rest of them. I would have enjoyed more tension between the FMC and MMC (he was forgiven far too easily IMO), but I enjoyed the story overall.

I'm so pleasantly surprised at the age of the main characters and their connections to the characters in the previous books. I can't remember the last time I read a book with such a big smile on my face the whole time.

I cant’ do it - these characters are INSUFFERABLE. You can be meek and mild and genteel or whatever without being a freaking doormat. I’m less than 100 pages from the end but I know that the way that the FMC is going to react to the utter upheaval her life has just been sent in is going to piss me the heck off so I don’t think I can continue and put myself through that. I choose me.

I’m only 2 chapters in and I want breakfast and I miss waiting tables (and I never thought I’d say that).

“Don’t touch my hair.” I love this book already but the inclusion of this line, especially in this context is the freaking cherry on top.

Man… I’m not usually bloodthirsty or violent… but all these people need to die.

The FMC’s cats are named Hope, August, and Cookie AND Life Goes On is on the book playlist… the author is ARMY!!!!
