The story is really good, but the character and continuity errors are driving me nuts.
Valen's too old to use contractions in speech, but his inner monologue is full of them and slang. He's scared of a car even though Ava drove him to the furniture store 2 chapters ago. He's holding 2 coffee cups but takes off his jacket and then puts the cups down. 😕

I'm trying so hard with this. The first two books were great, and this one, up to around 50%, was good, but suddenly the writing changed. It's continuous fragments and similar phrases repeated over and over. (This is like the fourth book I've read with this writing style, and it makes me wonder. 🤔) I'm going to keep trying, because DNFing makes me sad.

This must take place on Jupiter because everything is heavy: "the weight of" his eyes, the words, etc. 133 times. Lol.

This has not gotten more interesting. I'm trying so hard, but it just keeps going with nothing really happening. He has secrets, she wants to know the secrets, and he and his friend keep arguing over the secrets. Nothing else is happening yet.
I've been wanting to DNF for the past two days, but it's been said there is a good ending, so I'm going to stick it out. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am really struggling to get into this book. There was one reviewer who said it gets good around 40%, and everybody seems to be lauding the ending, so I'm going to keep going, but it's been rough so far.

I just finished the first chapter, and that is some super manic energy.

This is really good, and funny as hell. 🤣

I am really trying to get into this, but it is just not grabbing me at all. I haven't even finished Chapter 1, and I'm super bored. I'm hoping it will pick up soon because the title is awesome, as is the cover.

You ever watch movies that are stupid, but you enjoy watching them anyway? That's what this book is. The characters in this book talk like middle school boys who just discovered how to use bad words. It's not a smart book, but it is a fun book if... you can just completely suspend all hold on reality.

I've only just started, and I've laughed at least 3 times. A promising start!

Ugh! Listening to the OS audiobook after listening to the graphic audio versions of FW & IF is brutal. 😕 The name pronunciations are all different, and I miss Xaden and Tairn's voices. 😭

Just finished part one, and I'm in love with the way this author writes. On to part 2.

This book is good, but it's soooo freaking long.

Well, this is most definitely interesting. This world is so different from anything I've ever read.

This has been taking me way too long to read. More than a quarter of the way through, and so far, everyone is an a**hole and doing nothing but bullying this girl, teachers included. I hope something else happens soon.

I am a little over 2 hours in and I have never enjoyed two idiots more. This is so good!

Well, idk if I'm gonna finish this. The concept of the story is good, but the writing is so cringey. The tropes I usually like are there, but they are so poorly done.

If I roll my eyes any harder at this child that is too stupid to live, I'm going to pass out. And it's so difficult to have respect for these supposed centuries old fairies who want to nut on a 19 year old.
