Why does my brain do this to me? Can't it just read for fun anymore? 😂
Two years ago, I wouldn't have noticed that at the beginning of the book, the espresso machine was old and cranky. But then, not one scene ago the machine was brand new because of the new 'owner.' But now it's back to being old again, and she has to replace a gasket!

The just had the same conversation about putting Kalon on the payroll on page 164 that they had on page 119. 😕

Please consider working with a developmental editor. It’s a great story with genuinely good writing, but the continuity and scene slips keep pulling me out.

Ugh! I'm apparently a masochist, otherwise I wouldn't still be reading this. All 3 of these guys are idiots.

Yeah I don't know if I'm going to finish this one. I'm going to try because I hate dnfing. But I don't know what anyone looks like because the descriptions are super vague. Then, all three of these guys are completely ignoring the boundaries of a woman in her workplace, and I don't know how to feel about that. That's not true. I know: I don't like it.

I just realized that it's gotten better. The male narrator isn't as sibilant as before, and the audio volume has evened out. Yay.

I normally love a duet, but the editing and male narrator are just not working for me.
The female is clear and easy to understand. The male... is too sibilant and low. Simply too much psspsspss to make him understandable. Which sucks because it's a good story. Immersive read it is.

How is this not even halfway? Only 44% and I feel like I've been reading forever. How can I like something, yet be bored at the same time?

This is leaning five-star good. I hope it stays the course.

The story is really good, but the character and continuity errors are driving me nuts.
Valen's too old to use contractions in speech, but his inner monologue is full of them and slang. He's scared of a car even though Ava drove him to the furniture store 2 chapters ago. He's holding 2 coffee cups but takes off his jacket and then puts the cups down. 😕

I'm trying so hard with this. The first two books were great, and this one, up to around 50%, was good, but suddenly the writing changed. It's continuous fragments and similar phrases repeated over and over. (This is like the fourth book I've read with this writing style, and it makes me wonder. 🤔) I'm going to keep trying, because DNFing makes me sad.

This must take place on Jupiter because everything is heavy: "the weight of" his eyes, the words, etc. 133 times. Lol.

This has not gotten more interesting. I'm trying so hard, but it just keeps going with nothing really happening. He has secrets, she wants to know the secrets, and he and his friend keep arguing over the secrets. Nothing else is happening yet.
I've been wanting to DNF for the past two days, but it's been said there is a good ending, so I'm going to stick it out. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am really struggling to get into this book. There was one reviewer who said it gets good around 40%, and everybody seems to be lauding the ending, so I'm going to keep going, but it's been rough so far.

I just finished the first chapter, and that is some super manic energy.

You ever watch movies that are stupid, but you enjoy watching them anyway? That's what this book is. The characters in this book talk like middle school boys who just discovered how to use bad words. It's not a smart book, but it is a fun book if... you can just completely suspend all hold on reality.

I've only just started, and I've laughed at least 3 times. A promising start!

Ugh! Listening to the OS audiobook after listening to the graphic audio versions of FW & IF is brutal. 😕 The name pronunciations are all different, and I miss Xaden and Tairn's voices. 😭

Just finished part one, and I'm in love with the way this author writes. On to part 2.
