Did I really almost finish this? Ann oh Ann, it's like you're getting better and better. Started off slow and somewhat tricky to follow but once it settled, it definitely did.

Civil war has finally ended

Civil war is almost over. Grant putting out one liners. Lots of people dying..

Not sure I’ll finish yet, but one day at a time I suppose.

Beautiful

Audiobook version is like the director’s cut of a movie. Listening to his voice makes me feel like I know what it means to discover yourself through writing. He doesn’t speak with confidence and rambles only to come to a beautiful conclusion.

Read this while sitting in front of an old white dude wearing a Vietnam Vet hat on a plane. If the world’s playing jokes on me, then I think it got me good today lol.

Glad I decided on the audiobook for this! I remember reading this and dropping it originally but now hearing the subtleties of Hanif’s narration make it much more enjoyable.

Audio-booking this one. Re-listened to his podcast this past weekend on a walk and enjoyed it so much. His voice is such a kickback.

Over halfway through the book. Clearly a lot of the reviewers haven't been through a long-term relationship and seen it wilt. These dynamics aren't uncommon - life isn't easy!

80 pages in and I learned that George Eliot was a woman. And here I was thinking that he/she was a proto-feminist. Maybe I'm just an idiot.
