Forever Fallen
Uf... Probably my favourite chapter. I loved the alternating POVs between Jem's happy, wholesome new family, and the devastating inner thoughts of Thule!Jace (aka Janus). Cassandra Clare is EVIL and i love her for it. I suffered a lot, and i loved it. To see an alternative ending to the story we love, and compare it to the real one... THE FEELS. I also like Jace and Ash's relationship.

"Oh, my darling. My darling. Why did you have to die?"

SCREAMING, CRYING.... This is my favourite flavour of suffering and torture... Cassandra Clare does it best and i can't wait for TWP

The Lost World
We jump into events after TDA. We see Livy and Ty in the Scholomance. We see a bit of what the cohort is up to. But most importantly: Tessa being in labour and Jem playing music for her. Jem tending to her wife, with his Silent Brother knowledge. Magnus being there for support. And... the baby being called WILLHEMINA, just like Tessa and Will's baby was called JAMES... SCREAMING, CRYING

Through Blood, Through Fire
Ah, i also loved this one! Although i knew the big twist. I couldn't be happier. Hehehe.

The Land I Lost
Absolutely adored this one. Jem and Tessa. Alec and Magnus. Rafe. Joaquín and Juliette. In love 💕

Exactly what i need. More Malec, more Raphael memories, more Jessa. Keep it up!

Okay what a bittersweet way to end this! This has left me wanting more Malec. But i have to say, the messages were pretty funny. Specially Raphael's. And to think Magnus listened to them all, and was also going through something with this separation.... makes me wanna re-read CoHF all over again. And the ending of QoAaD.

Awwww i actually really loved this one! Alec and Magnus' first date! So shy, yet corageous. And how far they have come since then! Makes me tear up i swear, love my Malec 😭😭

The Last Stand of The New York Institute
Usually i find stories about the Circle a bit dull; while it's interesting to see how the characters we know now behaved in the past, we always get to know them only on a superficial level, i feel. But this was interesting, more so, the second part, where Magnus and Tessa meet Clary. I actually loved that.

What to buy the Shadowhunter who has everything (and who you're not officially dating anyway)
Apart from The Midnight Heir, this is my favourite story so far. Not only is it about Alec, but i found the demon to be funny and cute. Finally something entertaining!

The fall of the Hotel Dumort
The late seventies and a bunch of vampires addicted to drugs. Camille makes a comeback. I think this may be the last story I read back when they were first published. Now I can finally enjoy my Malec hopefully

Ugh! Raphael is always so funny. I love grumpy characters. I need more of him. He flew a bit under my radar the first time i read the series, but this time i absolutely adored every one of his interactions.
This is the story of how he met Magnus. Entertaining, but i also had already read it.

The Rise of the Hotel Dumort
An interesting story set in the 1920s, when Magnus has a Speakeasy. I had already read this when it came out. I actually enjoyed it, it's a very interesting time period.

Son of Dawn
Here we get the backstory on how Jace ended up being under the Lightwoods' care. How he met Alec and Izzy and Max for the first time. It's so strange to see how much of a little warrior he was, how he didn't have anyone, to see now how far he has come, how loved he is.
And Jem... remembering his Will... ah!

Heronstairs is so real. There really is no heterosexual explanation for this

Interesting to get more backstory in Celine. It's good to know her more as a complex human rather than as a poor innocent damisel in distress. However, i do not find the Circle as interesting as other parts of this universe.

WW2, Tessa still struggling after Will has passed, and nursing Jem back to health? Why don't you take my heart, since its already into pieces? Absolutely adored this one cause i love suffering

The more Shadowhunters books i read, the more i believe Heronstairs is real. These two love each other so much 😭😭😭

The Midnight Heir
Probably my favourite story so far. We get to see James Herondale kicking the streets at midnight, like his father once did. We also get to see Tessa, Will, and Jem, and how much they love each other. I think i also read this when it first came out, but of course TLH wasn't as shaped yet.

Edmund Herondale's backstory, as well as how the accords were negotiated. I originally read this when it came out. Not super exciting, but better than the previous ones.
