Just awesome. Loving every second so far.

I’ve been engaged the entire time. I really like Malfi’s writing style; it just works for me. This has the perfect blend of fantasy horror, mystery, and crime. Genuinely enjoying the journey and excited to smash through the last 25%.

The creepy vibes are immaculate. Don’t want to put it down.

Off to an interesting start!

I need a break from Maas. I wish I wasn’t just powering through this but that’s where I’m at with it. Gonna put this series down and maybe come back to it again later. I will finish this one though because I’m too far to DNF it. Btw - this doesn’t mean I think it’s bad, I might just not be in the right headspace for it right now and / or burnt out on Maas-verse 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Been meaning to read this one for a while. I read Columbine earlier in the year, and with the recent Sandy Hook date passing, I wanted to spend time reflecting on it and learning more. I was working in Norwalk when this shooting occurred and it hit close to home for a lot of folks I know. It’s heavy so far and I only anticipate more as we go deeper.

I started this tonight as a palette cleanser. I’ve been looking for something horror-esque with grit. This is serving early on. Let’s see where it goes. I’ve only heard good things.

I feel like this is so hard for me to get through for some reason. I was enjoying it earlier in the year but needed to take a break from reading due to other life things. Picking this back up feels like a slog. I might push through the remainder and put the series down. I’m in a slump and might start a different book to help pull me out. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fin ch35: haven’t updated in a while because life… but I did listen more! So much to unpack. I like the little murder mystery vibe. Manon and Abraxos are my fave. More deep lore stuff. Cool scene on the lake. I wanna know what that creature was!
