Just finished chapter 17. WTF!

Alice! Delaney, you're killing me!

Finished it after work tonight. Excellent story. While the final comeuppance was justified, the jerk I wanted to see get his, didn't. Perhaps that is another story.

Now the real question. Where to next? Do I binge and read the next Dresden File? Or do I keep savoring this series and come back after reading something else?

Excellent story to this point. This is point in the book where all of the pieces have fit together and the final push is about to begin. Full steam ahead!

Now, I know that this is the fourth book of the series, I have been patiently waiting for this book from the library, and I have read a couple of graphic novels in the series; but, I - totally - am in! If I wasn't pleased with the series, I would not have even started the book. However, right out of the gates, I cannot wait to dig into this story!

Quite good. Not as spooky as I was hoping but an excellent read!

Did not end the way I thought it would. Dresden continually gets his ass handed to him.

Regardless, I enjoyed it! Worth the read.

It started just a tad slowly, but that's not fair. The last several books I've read have all been part of a series and have started with me knowing the characters and their world.

At this point in time, I'm in the third chapter and I'm into the story. I'm loving the background and the setting. The characters are all rather compelling. I really like Autumn and am quite interested in what happens to her.

So it's a snack! You can't eat just one!

I'm liking the story thus far.

Another Excellent Story! Christmas and Zombies! What's there not to like about that?

This story just doesn't stop! I thought I was at the final climax at least three times. The suspense just keeps building.

Harry Dresden is continually getting his ass kicked! But somehow he keeps his head above water, just. It reminds me of playing a magic-user character in D&D who's spells and hit points are mostly used up. Yet Harry, keeps finding ways to prevail.

Wow! right out of the gate and I'm hooked! This is an excellent story for this time of year!

Wow! Best book yet!

I'm liking this series very much. The previous book was written in the mid 50s and this one written in the early 80s. I'm wondering if it would have been different if it had been written in the 50s. While it seems, to me, that the sexual content is a bit more than the previous novel; nevertheless, this could be due to the fact that the setting of the previous novel was quite parochial - sexually speaking.

Oh my God! What just happened?

Does anybody know Latin? Google does - I'm off to translate.

I thinking I'll be reading the sequel to this sooner than later. Like next!
