First of all; spectacular cover and map. I'm excited.

I'm going slow because I'm heavily annotating it and switching between like 6 books but ehhh... It sure is interesting

It suuuure is an experience to finally read this one. I've been annotating it in my ereader app which is a lot of fun too.

This is my first time reading it lol. I know shock.

Just found out Throne of Glass is getting a Graphic Audio edition and I haven't stopped screaming since. MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!

Okay pretty addicted to this book though. Ugh I need to listen with earbuds for obvious reasons and my phone keeps dying so I can't binge it in one go like I want to do (can't charge and listen at the same time so lol)

THE INCONSISTENCY IRKS MEEEE. I swear he thought something along the lines of not enjoying all the sounds that accompany torture and death. That he didn't get off on that shit because he wasn't that much of a psycho and now the crunch of bone is nearly orgasmic? Like pick a personality, mate

You know what it is that bothers me. Its when scenarios happen that feel made up for a purpose. Of course as a writer we do this, but when you can tell when you read the book... It takes away from my ability to immerse myself in the world. When in quick succession multiple people say and do things that feel unlikely or off, but it builds character... It ticks me off. It doesn't feel smooth. It feels fake &unrealistic

I'm rolling my eyes on serveral matters in the span of like three pages. Arch sounds hot asf though. I don't like this.
Domestic violence? That's not the energy he gave off at all. I'm spotting a pattern of the message "don't feel bad about x, he was a bad man anyway" while the main guy gets the reverse. "He looks bad but look he's also a hero!"
I hope that won't be the case for the entire book. It irks me.

I don't get how his brain works? How can he be so protective and nice and all that but then also basically make it his mission to terrify a woman himself? Like, sure thats twisted but its also just weird like errr... How do you rationalise this behaviour sir.

Why am I not more disturbed by this lol I wonder how I'll feel later on.

Ok, I was fighting it for a while but I have to admit it I'm in love with Orion. I get all fangirly over him.

Asdfghjkl don't start the zodiac signs with Aquarius. January doesn't mark the start of the zodiacs. The first sign is Aries. Little details like these bother me soooo much. Besides how did she know the order by heart if she supposedly hardly has knowledge on them???

Aside from that I'm really into the worldbuilding though.

Also... sidenote nothing to do with the book but I'm an astrology nerd and the cover is KILLING me. I get that the "ZA" logo is in front of a sign and that one is missing... but that's supposed to be Sagittarius. Why did they hide Capricorn instead? And therefore switch capri and sag around... It really bugs me. At least the rest of the orders are correct...

I have been looking forward to this book a lot and it started very promising but ever since the boys appeared I just have to say: WHAT IN THE DIABOLIK LOVERS IS THIS... ahem, so, not what I expected. I wonder what I'll think of this in the end but I'm a bit more cautious now. They also don't sound like my type so... I'm praying I'll love it as much as I thought I was going to but sadly I have to say I'm sceptical...

Man, I ambitiously chose to read 100 books this year and normally I don't lower my goals because what is the point of that then? But I've been 20+ books behind schedule for months and I just don't seem to close in. How will I read 40+ more books in the next 3 months? I don't know. I'm stressing. Will I break my vow to myself? Ahh.

This book infuriates me so much I can't wait for it to be over. The main character has such an unlikable personality I want to smack him so often. I'm this close to DNF ing.

AHHH this is so good. I love these characters. What will happen next!? I have to know!! This is def a pageturner.

I'm still really bothered by her adressing her animalistic side as a seperate entity from herself 😬 other than that though I have missed this story! Instantly excited again.
