Life in Liscor never gets boring

People wanted a speedy solution to their problems, but what if their moods had been driven down in the first place by the hurried pace of their lives? They imagined that they were rushing now in order to savor their lives later, but so often, later never came.

باز هم گمل و باز هم یک پلات سرراست. می‌خواین چی کار کنین؟ هیچی فقط می‌خوایم پادشاه رو بکشیم. مهم هم نیست که یک نفر یا دو نفریم. بریم جلو ببینیم چی پیش میاد.
بی‌نظیره

Such an insightful and well-written book. As far as the handbooks go, this one is delivering exactly what it promises.

قسمت‌های تاریخ فلسفه و نگاه تحلیلی به این روند بسیار جالب، اما خط داستانی و کامنت‌های بی‌مزه و کاملاً غیرضروری سوفی بسیار خسته‌کننده

در این روزگار بی‌‍قراری و بی‌حوصلگی، این توصیف زیبای آقای دوباتن از درخت به آدم حس اطمینان می‌ده:
"The trees were an image of patience, for they would sit out this rainy morning and the many that would follow it without complaint, adjusting
themselves to the slow shift of the seasons, showing no ill temper in a storm, no desire to wander from their spot for an impetuous
journey across to another valley"

چقدر آقای دوباتن در مورد سفر به یک کشور خارجی زیبا می‌گه:
"we may value foreign elements not only because they are new, but because they seem to accord more faithfully with our identity and commitments than anything our homeland provide."

شاید دفعه چهارم باشه کتاب رو می‌خونم. دقیقاً می‌دونم که می‌خواد چی کار کنه و چطوری مرحله‌ی اول رو رد کنه. اما باز هم خوندنش برام حس تازگی داره و همون‌قدری هیجان‌زده می‌شم که بار اول موقع خوندنش شدم.
