Rereading this great beastie and there is something about the Civil War that my little brain just gobbles up. Such a good historical fiction.

I think this is JAL's strongest book... possibly ever? It's broken up her usual formula and I'm loving it.

Listening to this for the umpteenth time because, in my mind, it is a perfect romance. And Alex Wyndham’s earlier narrative style brings Rock and co. to life so beautifully.

Contrapoint's 3hr video essay on Twilight makes me not only 1) way more secure in my avid consumption of romance; but 2) feel completely vindicated for my reading the series not once, not twice, but more than 42 times as an adolescent.

book 3 in this series was amazing, so I'm amped to finally getting to the rest.

This is some seriously good multicast narration, complete with actual ukulele playing when Frankie (FMC) does her musical standup bits. It’s brilliant.

So I’m on chapter 1. Is there like time-jumping structure here? Or is my audiobook file whack or something? Because we are mid relationship as far as I can tell. Like is there a flash forward and back? I AM CONFUSED. Help!
