Seems really interesting. I opened to a random page and as is often the case for me I think I found the best page in the book! The part describes how meditating on opposite emotions is how we integrate all of our emotions.

Could explain things a bit more - I think this book helps me develop my intuitions but somehow I need more from it - deeper explanation or more examples maybe

Some takeaways:

Your vision must be crystal clear in order for you to even know how to move toward it.
Envisioning a big vision is not any harder than envisioning a small vision. Whatever your vision is - make it bigger.
There will always be naysayers. They tell you it’s impossible because they’ve never had a big vision.
There is no substitute for putting in the work.

Speed reading through the middle section of the book where Belinda stops being a mysterious character with a mysterious backstory and instead dumps her entire, dramatic life story into a letter.

Diagrams could be better. "Real life" explanations could also be better. But its ok. Solidly average. Doing it's best to explain soundwaves and hearing.

The textbook presents a set of definitions, theorems, and proofs, the teacher copies them onto the blackboard, and the students copy them into their notebooks. They are then asked to mimic them in the exercises. Those that catch on to the pattern quickly are the “good” students.

This is a major theme in mathematics: things are what you want them to be. You have endless choices; there is no reality to get in your way.

Such a good essay
People think they are good at math and go to graduate school only to realize they are actually good at following directions.

To be honest it’s true of school in general. Being able to memorize material for exams is not that useful of a skill. If that’s all you have you will not have a future

Listening to his audiobook. Oh my god his voice is so attractive. And he talks about his pets in the opening chapter. Should I be less desperately attracted to him while reviewing this book? Maybe! Who cares!

I don’t often read celebrity books. I don’t often feel inspired by celebrities. This is Arnold. He’s the celebrity for me. He’s one of the few celebrities who I am truly intrigued by.

I’ve been dreaming about Arnold. So it’s time. I have to read this book.

I have a strange urge to read fiction taking place in a small town

Always want to escape other people. Don't want to escape places but people specifically. At a conference and getting tired of all of this, all of these people. I escaped by going to another hotel, to the hotel lobby of another hotel, to work alone. I just need to have break from humans sometimes. From human noise.
