Things are picking up now that we're all in Willow Springs.

This book has been hard to get through, unfortunately. The narrator is always changing (we added a new one in the last section). It's not very fun...it feels academic. I do still prefer the love story narrative between Ophelia and George.

So George sucks. The Mama Day sections have a lot of characters and I feel like I can't remember them all. Cocoa and George's sections I prefer, except now George is acting like he never met a woman before. And there's another narrator now. I really wish this had chapters, that would help a lot of the reading process. And also names of who the narrator is in each section since we're changing it up so often.

First story, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi was meh.

More invested in Ophelia and the love story than the Mama Day parts.

Starting w book club with a couple friends! And loving this so far!

I've been reading these poems here and there before bed, but I just sat and read almost all of part 2, and I should've been reading it like this the whole time.

This book may have inspired me to plan a quinceañera for me and my partner's 15-year anniversary.

Learning a lot about archaeology, very dense, but it helps that it's all history local to my area!

She's still seeming braggy. Her 50th birthday party sounded lit tho.

Really enjoying going through and journaling through this book. I am a week into the 30 day breakup, and I'm enjoying adding it to my nightly routine.

A little anti-religion/atheist undertones, which we love. Teach the kids.

The book made more sense to finish via a physical book. I'm rereading the first third to refresh.

Some soft existential atheism happening.

Poetry is a medium that I usually have consumed through spoken word, but I'm trying to get past the intimidation of not "getting" written poetry.
