started yesterday, read loads on my flight. enjoying so far!

greatest short story writer of our time

i get the vibe but I have no sense of plot or timeline

even though we didn't have an 8 hr drive today after all, I have been reading up a STORM!!!!

the paragraphs are chapter length but after surviving hurricane season by fernanda melchor I can survive any writing style

i don't know why she keeps going in to see him because she never seems happy about it. he always seems thrilled to see her and she acts like it's a chore and she's sick of him.

discovered the secret "ireland, uk, and canada" shelf at st. inie's!

not sure i'm really feeling this book at all (disappointing!) but i AM almost done.

i think it's a fact worth pondering that perhaps if he'd had migraine medicine or maybe even just ibuprofen he wouldn't have done it

started yesterday. have to read this so my dad and i can go see the new adaptation at the afi's eu film fest!!!!

i think that mrs hattingh never sent any of the letters to nour and is lying about it to soraya. and nour is mad because he thinks he’s been abandoned. and mrs hattingh faked all the letters from him too because she clearly has a lot of issues. and timothy is either institutionalized or dead but i don’t think he’s ever coming to visit.

everyone in this book is terrible and it isn't really in a fun way either

the werewolf by angela carter makes an appearance!

i have until tuesday to read this before it's due back to the library and i just started another book. not my brightest move

really liking this so far:) after putting off reading the arc for weeks (because i didn't want to read an ebook)

so apparently i've actually technically just finished the book and the rest is a couple short stories. which caught me off guard. i really liked it, though i was expecting it to be longer

now that blunt force trauma to the head has entered the conversation the mr ripley comparison in the blurb is making lots and lots of sense. I am enjoying this a lot for real

TOMORROW i finish this book!!! I was ahead of schedule then behind my new schedule then back on the new schedule and now I am finally 2 chapters from the end. here's to hoping I don't forget everything before our class discussion.

not sure I'm feeling this anymore

the way the format keeps shifting is very interesting. like first it's alternating first-person pov chapters with no number, only titles. then third-person chapters with no titles, only numbers. now we're third-person with dates as the chapter titles. unsure how I feel about this
