Calling a DNF for now. My library loan expired and I probably shouldn't check it out again until I can spare some time for it.

I'm really trying to power through the last 100 pages.

I really do enjoy this book. The world with the cultists and revisionist history doesn't seem like it's fleshed out much, but who cares?

Really enjoying this book. In some ways, it shouldn't work for me. There's a lot of stops and starts, but I like how Manieri builds the tension.

I have no feel for the world, but I love the characters. I can't wait to read more.

Now we are finally getting somewhere.

I don't remember this book being so bland before. It's got the classic Victoria Holt writing, but it's also really tame.

I really like the world so far. It's an interesting skin on existing history.
