Nearly constantly shaking my head at this. First, Grey can't stop reminding everyone and their cousins twice removed that THE GIRL STABBED KIER, HELLO??!? then she's calling her sweetheart and sleeping in the same bed as her a page later. The inn was buzzing and after they murder four guys, everyone kinda ... left??? It just feels unfinished & as if nothing exists besides Grey and Kier 🥴

Having huge problems getting into this. The world building, the pacing, Grey in particular - so far, it's missing the mark for me quite strongly 😐

Only updating this again so soon to ask how a woman with no eyes can "issue [...] a meaningful look" 😭

I'm more invested in the friend group than the main couple, but this is written so wittingly and slightly chaotic, I love it! Also, this is a great example for including a non-binary character without feeling the need to make their entire purpose that they are non-binary. Hooray!

I love their banter, but something is missing for me (so far). Hmmm.

This book is gonna make me a strong contender for the gold medal in the category "suspension of disbelief" with some of the build-up and that squirrel hopping out of the tree.

Aiden has some anger management issues he'll hopefully be looking into (and that may be a result of his mom's illness), but their dynamic is ✨delightful✨

I'm resorting to listening to chapters I'm less interested in via audiobook. Not that I suddenly enjoy them, but it helps me getting through them 😬
