the fact that this started out as a harry potter fanfic is really baffling to me because i don't see any of the characters from harry potter in any of the characters from this particular story. did she read the same series i did? also the info dumping is wild. knowing the fanfic is about the same length, how did the author take up 1000 pages with a fanfic where we all know the established world/magic system?

i'm sorry i just don't believe anything about this romance... koen is such a dick to her and so hot-and-cold, but suddenly she loves him? serena, come on. the plot, the world-building and serena as her own person are really keeping me going here

i love serena but koen is the most annoying and shitty alpha male character i've seen in forever... nothing about this man's behavior makes sense? he's flat-out mean to serena, basically imprisons her, won't answer any questions and then gets mad when she does things for herself like show off her cooking skills or try to make choices for herself instead of blindly doing what he wants her to do. i hate this man.
