Brilliant author, oh what bliss after so many disappointments to strike gold!

Not enjoying VS Naipal as much as I thought I would, I think I prefer Aravind Ardiga's writing by far.

Finally the book seems to be coming together. I don't think i would have had the resolve to get so far if I hadn't read Playground and Bewilderment first which I recommend anyone to do first, at least Bewilderment.

Finding this a grueling read due to the sheer number of characters and lack of plot that apparently comes together in the end, but definitely not my favourite Power's book

Enjoyable but not really about Oscar Wao, about all the family members in his life far more so the title is rather misleading.

This is the kind of book you re-read as you read it because it's so well written and so very good.

This book is both exquisite and nail biting.

I read the reviews for this book and couldn't disagree more - "it's really a YA book" or "so boring". I'm really loving it and look forward to wvery moment I can relax and read more, also think it's beautifully written and a real page turner.

Loving the humour and luxurious imaginative alternate old British world with such endearing yet flawed characters. Reminds me of good omenish humour.

Loving it. A cross between an adult Harry potter and an intellectual language philosophical and historical conundrum, a page turner and very readable.

profound indigenous wisdom by a plant scientist, this book is just love, and if anything can save us this is it. soothing and invoking to follow her footsteps and form that deep connection she speaks to between people and nature as one of mutual gratitude, not the one we've adopted, but the one that is our birthright. critical reading for this time.
