Pretty conflicted about this bc the book has a major identity crisis. Good stuff about cult influence and abusive relationships but also a dumb romance subplot with the one white kid and his mammy character. Black men are NOT portrayed well here

This stresses me out so much bc so many people actually think like this. Not so deep into it but conspiracy shit. Also the white boy treats her pretty sus I don't like him

The beginning was kind of all over the place but I think i like where this is going with the cult theories. Definitely a slow burn for the romance tho

This definitely needs a pacing edit - Alys is just wandering around trying to not spill that she has the model without anything actually interesting happening. The E Girls are taking so long to get to any real drama, the character building is important but something needs to be changed

Cute!! Good for older kids s they transition into high school i think. Dealing with grief and burnout and understanding more complex relationships with your friends and their needs. Plus cute bear costumes and cozy winter vibes

Bit of a slow burn, mostly watching this woman have horrible depression and no one understanding why. makes being a housewife look very oppressing and this kind of horror is needed for the new tradwife resurgence

The World building is also very inconsistent. She goes to magic school but I don't get to know really any of the teachers or what she does in class, she just says she goes to these classes and somehow she's doing good. Sometimes She's doing bad It changes like a lot! Idk why Logan has just decided to give her lessons??

This makes me believe in the terrible saying "people who cuss a lot have a poor vocabulary" like there is no escaping modern slang here
