I'm struggling with their dynamics. I love this author and this series so far but their dynamics is giving me anxiety, even if it's consensual. I think I will need to pause it for now.

I'm not sure I can carry on because of the crappy nickname. To me creep has very bad connotations and I find it hard to get past it. I was hoping Ethan moved on from using it but I just read a few reviews and it looks like it carries on.

After over a month of adding this book to my list, I am finally reading it. I can see why all the hype but some of it feels like it's because this author was away for quite a while instead of the book itself. Only half way through and I am enjoying it but not as much as I thought I would. Perhaps it's because of the amnesia trope which I dislike but not sure. I guess I'll see how the rest goes.

A too descriptive MFF sex scene to start with? Really?

Very random but as I start chapter 2 I realise that the baddie (Vincent) in chapter one is not going to be the other MC. Disappointed does not even cut it haha

Has Tallus always been this annoying and vapid? More than in the other books, it's grating on my nerves.

Wait! What sheriff in their right mind tells their babysitter all the details of the crime case they're working on? Pulled me right off the story.

25% in and I'm struggling a bit. There's too much rambling and inner thoughts and I know that's how the author writes from previous books but it's getting to me a bit. A lot just seems to be filler. And a way to show how much the author has researched as well as their history knowledge background. People seem to be loving it though and I will continue as I'm invested.

I was enjoying this book enough but the childish reason why they're hiding is just doing my head in.

I'm not enjoying the supernatural elements. I wish I knew about them before I started reading this.

Hmm, this book is already annoying me.

Hmm, not sure this is for me. Not because of the dark aspect but because the writing does not flow easily to me, which is making me lose interest. I will carry for for a bit longer to see how it goes.

It rarely happens but this book is making me so angry. I stopped reading mf because of shit like this. I hate OW/OM drama and cheating for the sake of it. It's so 2012. Nicely written, especially for a debut but I don't think I can finish this.

Morgan's family is too dysfunctional and so far I can't say it's bringing any emotions in me apart from slightly bored.

Very, very late to the party but let's see what the fuss was all about 3 years ago.

At 23% nothing has really happened apart from annoying meddling families and the MCs haven't even seen or spoke to each other yet. It may be second chance and their firsts are done but this is a bit slow for my liking. Carrying on but very unsure.

Honestly, this series would be so much better without the Salvation church malarkey. I was having all the feels for Nick and Cash but reading about the church stuff again, has put me slightly off. Skimming past these bits.

Everyone is raving about this book but I am having difficulties. I usually do not get stuck in the little details but I'm finding it hard to believe that a 25 year old plays a detective and has done so for quite a few series, so probably started at 19 (if I have it wrong, sorry). A baby faced detective? Nope. I know that this is a make believe TV show on a make believe book. But I can't get past it for some reason.
