I think this last part of the chapter was very important to remember. Sure, the hero triumphs over the villain, but in the end they still killed someone. They still have blood on their hands. That shit sticks with you, and I think it's important that Lo reminded us of that.

i loved this little moment where they take the time to shed light on the fact tht demi-gods though they might be, these are still children. luke? annabeth? thalia? percy? erick? they are all children that were born from reckless gods. they didn't ask to be thrust into a life of risk and peril that they are forced to prepare for and are not always provided with the necessary support to get them through it.
