It's an alright book.
I'm reading it and enjoying it.
My big problem is that it was published in 2024... the world has MASSIVELY changed even since then.

I dont' fancy finishing it, but haven't yet summoned the dislike to mark it as DNF

Fun book. Very interesting premise. It's a bit shallow, but the storytelling makes up for it

OK... I'm 40% in... and I'm still just waiting for when the BOOK WILL START!??

(I'm listening on audible BTW and now at 1.3 speed).
Every individual minute is interesting enough, and I get it's a long book, but being 11 hours into a 22hour book and still waiting for the plot to start is starting to waste my time.

actually really liking this book. No idea why they're calling it a progression fantasy as it's not following any of those patterns.

Almost 2 different books. One book all about the survival in the frost, one book all about the underground. Both are good, but the steampunk 2033 style of the above ground called to me a little bit more

I'm at chapter 4 on audible and I cannot see what's happening yet. Started cleanly, and then seems to have gone into a lot of descriptive exposition which doesn't clarify the plot.

The premise is great... but I am about 10-15% in and I keep dropping it to go read something else. It just isn't grabbing me yet.

I'm really enjoying this. It's a great story and lots of little snippets that shed light on the evolution of the chips, the struggle for supremacy etc. More to come

I was sort of not very interested in this in the beginning... and mainly aiming to listen because of the time invested in the previous ones.

However I have found myself enjoying it more now as I gradually realise that the author does have a plan

Oh no!!!.... I'm really starting to stress out already. Despite the fact that this is a LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG book (I'm >6,000 pages in on my kindle)... it's just so good that I can see eventually I will read to the last page and then EITHER that's it.. there's no more story from Erin and friends or instead of reading it every morning and evening .... I now have to wait for the next chapter as drip feed torture

cannot believe I am page 4592 in this book and STILL really enjoying every page and every individual character development

wow... a lot to take in... showing how both a lot of what I knew was wrong, as well as linking some missing elements into a lot of what I knew.

This is NOT a LITRPG book.. and that's why I like it.
It's a character book, a plot book, a situation book... that just happens to be set in a somewhat LITRPG universe
