It will be my Mother's funeral tomorrow so I shall be taking a short break from reading, but 'I'll be back'.

I'm not sure why but I'm just not invested in this story. I'll keep going but I can't wait to finish it and read something else.

Not so much reading yesterday as I had a bad day emotionally, but I'm hoping today is a better one. Still enjoying Clavell's writing style though.

I am making sure I give myself a proper slot for reading while we make the arrangements for my Mum's funeral. I am so far enjoying reading Shogun, which I remember vividly from the series starring Richard Chamberlain and John Rhys-Davies; whenever Rodrigues speaks I hear those lines in his voice lol.

My lovely Mum passed away at 11pm on September 30th with my sister and I holding her hands.
