Storm sterling and Camilla evergreen have become new favorites. They are my unicorn authors bc they have written closed door “dark” rom coms. I love over the top romance heroes done in a more humorous way rather than played straight. Dark romance often feels too much like the Epstein files and I would rather read about characters that go after the bad guys like Epstein and Trump instead.

This was another reason I had to put the other book on the back burner bc I can’t across a rare book that’s a closed door dark rom com stalker/kidnapper type of romance. Yesssssss. My cries have been heard.

I don’t know why I keep struggling with this book. I don’t hate it or really have any issues with it that I can really pinpoint. Its concept is interesting but for whatever reason it’s just boring. I don’t feel compelled to pick it up. But I do want to eventually finish it at some point. Maybe I’ll work on it when I’m reading something more romantically intense to balance things.

excruciating read

a 35 page sex scene was just too much even just skimming through it. i need a break.

yesss barnes and noble had this out early before its actual release date. i do want to listen to the audiobook as well bc i love their youtube channel but i doubt i'll get super far into it that starting over would be too much waste of time.

oh dang this has gothic vibes, perfect. i wanted to keep going with belladonna precisely bc of the gothic vibes for the season but i just struggle so much with series and would prefer a standalone at the moment. looks like this might be exactly what i'm looking for. its been sitting on my shelf for quite some time completely forgot about it until yesterday.

i think i'll read the chapter books at the same time as the rest of this trilogy because damn is it dark for disney book.

I think I like this one the most between it, villains & virtues, and assistant to the villain probably bc i am a sucker for the forced marriage/kidnapping thing it has going for it vs. the other 2 series. i'll work on those other 2 at a later point.

huh, wonder how i forgot to read this when i was knocking out the other books in the series a few months back.

finally i can get back on track with this book, been waiting for my special edition to arrive before i continued
