Great book! Hard read emotionally but really, really good. I’m really enjoying the narrator for the audiobook also! I’m having a great time immersive reading this one.

While 35% doesn’t seem like a lot, it’s the equivalent of an average beach read. Babel had me for a good minute, then I got tired of the lectures. I get it, Kuang, you’re a genius. I do not think I will read her other books that are on my TBR if they are anything like this because to be, it was all “filler” I’ve come to find out has no weight on the actual story. Kuang just isn’t my cup of tea.

Absolutely loving and fantastic. It’s definitely a hard read as far as tugging on your emotions but even so it is just beautiful! With so many messages…I really love it even though I’m wanting to cry every 2 min!

oh what fun !!! This is thoroughly entertaining. Listening to the audiobook makes you really dislike the FMC and her husband!

Oddly enjoyable. Especially coming off of The Testament last book (don’t even bother reading that one!). So far this book is strange and fun at the same time, giving me a couple legit chuckles:

I think I’m going to press pause on this for a bit, if not DNF entirely. I’m a little turned off that it is so far off from the show’s storyline. It’s confusing and has even turned me off to watching the series for it. Yes, it’s easy read. Yes, if I wasnt familiar with the entire HMT series then I’d probably be OK with it. Unfortunately, I am the opposite and well invested in the show. 😫🙄

Having a hard time wrapping my head around this one, after seeing Handmaids. This is too confusing in a sense. If you have watched the show then you know what I’m talking about…I haven’t even started watching testaments tv series yet…

Finally on the last book (even though it’s #2 by publication date). Will this be the end to our Owens family stories? I highly recommend reading NOT in publication order but by the recommended chronological order.

I can’t put it down! I don’t know why because nothing is happening but yet so much is. Is it because we the readers can relate to these “coming of age” relationship situations? Are we holding on to read of some cataclysmic twist? Doubtful that would happen. I am just enjoying the ride with no expectations. Note to self; communication/decade of settings and how it plays into lack of comm/ early Sam
